Diana wasn’t only a college instructor; she was more than that. Diana was a mentor, a mother, a sister, a friend in need, and an exceptional individual that our hearts interconnected with hers that shaped our university experiences. Words can’t express and convey our sadness and agony that we are in, but our faces do. Walking through the department’s doors knowing that she is not there anymore leads us to believe that no she still is. Although she isn’t walking the earth with us anymore, but her spirit, smiles, and memories will always have a special place in our hearts.
Diana was ruthlessly taken by a merciless monster that stole her from us. We are still in a state of incredulity upon her death, but we decided to not forget. We cant forget her great soul that mesmerized everyone around her. Her demise didn’t stop us from embarking on the great journey of life and graduating. Diana has always invited us to her realm until we became a part of it. Nothing feels greater than having Diana as part of each of our stories that will accompany us in our journeys.
Her death is and will always be a reminder that out there is a viscous enemy that can never be forgiven. She is the icon of speaking out the truth and defending the victims. None of us is upset that she is gone, for her soul went to a great place with the utmost honor that anyone could ask for.
She is looking at us from above cheering for every single one of us for following her footsteps either in humanity or educational journey. Diana you will forever be missed; rest in peace angel.
