Between Public and Private Educational Sectors
Nowadays technology has become one of the necessities in the educational field. However, investing in it differs between the public and private educational organizations whether it’s by the kind of devices used, their numbers, and their maintenance. We could start by saying that the private institutes have more advanced devices in comparison with the public ones. While many private schools already started doing quizzes and exams for elementary students using tablets and laptops, public school students do the same paper exam even for the computer class with the same information each year from grade seven to twelve. We could continue to the second point, which is that public schools do have computers and computer rooms, but their number is never enough. When each private school student has his own tablet with his or her name on it, to use for the whole year, a thirty-student class in public schools would be lucky to find ten computers ready to be used. Finally, the quality and quantity of attention given to the devices is also different . Public schools do have more than thirty computers, it’s just that most of them face unknown problems. Problems that no one has tried to solve before. Students have always known the broken features in the computers and told their siblings about them when remembering their old school times! We all know that education is not all about using the newest technology, yet we can’t deny its importance. Especially for the new generations. Hoping that things will get better one day and investing more will be presented in our public schools. Till then we could say nothing but thank you to all the teachers, whether they are suffering in the public department or enhancing in the private one.
