Meet and greet :

On the 11th of October of this year , both EduNation and the Book Club participated in the annual Meet and Greet. The clubs made sure to share their goals and fascinating activities with new students who may be considering joining any of the two clubs. They also had a fun mini book giveaway to individuals that joined any of the clubs to encourage reading . They served croissants as a welcoming snack that signifies the unity and generosity of the club members as well. Adding on, over 120 students combined joined both clubs making the EduNation and BookClub the clubs with most members in LIU! We can’t wait to participate in future “Meet and Greet” events to spread the word that books and education are the pillars for success Mustafa Abo Yasssin

Book Sale 2:

Jeanette Winterson once said “Books and doors are the same thing. You open them, and you go through into another world” and this is what the EduNation club was able to achieve. At the beginning of every semester, the EduNation Club has its annual BookSale. The BookSale is an activity where the club receives donations from students for 2 weeks and resells them for half the price. The goal of this activity is to encourage reading and not spending an absurd amount in this current dreadful economic situation. While regular books are sold for more than 6$, the club members priced their books for only 2$ and less! This way, students are more motivated to read without worrying about breaking the bank. The club was able to sell over 150 books in 3 days with 50% of the profits going to our suffering families in Gaza-Palastine. Books not only do they entertain us, but they also give us a break from real life to a more relaxing universe of fascinating thoughts and adventures. Make sure to join us in our upcoming BookSale to help us in encouraging more and more people to read and unlock their minds and hearts to the beauty of reading!
